Based at the brand new Parc Eirias stadium, the 'The Eirias' middle distance triathlon is a great new event in the triathlon calendar. Following on from the success of the Llandudno Sea Triathlon, Xtra Mile Events have again teamed up with Conwy County Council to bring you a sea based middle distance triathlon to rival the best in the UK.
Triathletes will start from the new permanent beach at the stunning new watersports hub and enter the sea for a 1900m, 2 lap swim. Exiting via the jetty you will run up to the transition area on the pitch at Parc Eirias stadium and embark on a 106km 2 lap cycle route around the beautiful countryside south of Colwyn Bay.
The run will be along the coastal path which is fast and flat affording beautiful views of the North Welsh coast. The final leg of the run will take competitors through the park where they will enter the running track, complete a lap of honour and finish in front of the grandstand.
There will be a 3 course awards dinner in the evening to which all entrants will be invited.
Start time: 8am
The race registration will be on Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday 21st July between 5.00am and 6.30am. No registrations will be accepted after this time. Absolutely no late entries will be accepted as this will delay the start.
Registering Relay Teams
Only one team member needs to turn up, but they must have photographic ID for all members.
Wetsuits
Yes, they are compulsory
Neoprene gloves and booties for the swim
These are not ‘legal’ equipment for a triathlon. However, if you wish to wear them you can but you will be disqualified (you can still continue the race and you will get a time).
