Wilmslow Triathlon 13.05.2012

A great sprint distance triathlon based around the leafy Cheshire town of Wilmslow. This is a great race for novices and experienced triathletes alike. Chip timing and a stacked goody bag!

Event Details

A sprint triathlon on the Cheshire plains. The event starts with a 400m swim in a 5-lane, 25m indoor pool at Wilmslow Leisure Centre. Transition is on the cricket pitch. The picturesque 23.8km cycle route is a mainly flat cycle ride in the Cheshire countryside through Ashley and Mobberley.

The 5.6km run then goes out from the leisure centre along mainly quiet, leafy roads around east Wilmslow. This is a mainly flat route with some inclines near to the River Bollin.

This event is part of the Xtra Mile Events Tri Sprint Series, but competitors are welcome to take part in just this event.

After the event there will be a prize giving, celebrating all those making great achievements in this race! The event will benefit from numbered racking, electronic chip timing and excellent goody bags. This is the biggest and best sprint triathlon in Greater Manchester.
