Leukaemia Research is the only charity in the UK dedicated exclusively to researching blood cancers and disorders including leukaemia, Hodgkin's and other lymphomas, and myeloma.
110,000 people, children and adults alike, are living with these cancers today. 24,500 people are newly diagnosed with one of these conditions every year. We are committed to giving every one of them the best chance of survival.
Our scientists and doctors work in over fifty top research centres across the UK. They are seeking to improve diagnosis of blood disorders and treatments for patients, and to find a cure for blood cancers.
We support patients, their families and friends by providing them a free information service including a range of over 40 publications.
We need to raise more than £100 million over the next five years to sustain our investment. We receive no Government grants and our life-saving research depends entirely on voluntary donations.
Our passionate and determined approach to research is mirrored in our fundraising. Our family of supporters spreads across the UK and includes 140 voluntary branches.

MIND

1 in 4 people will experience some form of mental distress during their lifetime -these are people you know; the person opposite you at work, the guys you play football with, your brother, your mother, your child.
Mental distress is indiscriminate, has many faces and effects people in many ways.
Mind aims to help them all.
Directly Mind helped over 220,000 people last year and indirectly Mind's work has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands more.
By 2020 depression will be second only to heart disease as an international health burden. Our work is more important than ever and we rely entirely on voluntary funding to do it.
Mind makes a difference through the provision of support lines, advice and information guides, and campaigning for better services and changes in public attitudes. Mind has a network of over 180 local Mind Associations which offer support such as counselling, training and housing for local people by local people.
Mind have a fantastic range of events to suit everyone, join us today and help support the 1 in 4 people who experience mental health problems in a year.
